China Reaffirms Support for Palestinians in Meeting with Arab Diplomats

On August 5, 2025, in Beijing, Zhai Jun, the Chinese government's special envoy on the Middle East issue, met with diplomatic envoys from Arab countries. The meeting took place at the request of the envoys.

During the meeting, Zhai Jun reiterated China's consistent stance on the Palestinian issue. He emphasized China's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and its commitment to justice and morality. He highlighted the critical stage the Palestinian issue has reached.

Zhai Jun stated China's belief that the Gaza conflict must cease immediately, and that humanitarian aid must continue to flow. He also stressed the importance of addressing the situation in the West Bank and solidifying the foundation for a "two-state solution."

Furthermore, Zhai Jun expressed China's support for Arab countries in strengthening their unity and playing a more significant role in resolving the Palestinian issue. He affirmed China's willingness to collaborate with the international community, including Arab nations, to achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting resolution based on the "two-state solution."

The Arab diplomatic envoys expressed their concerns about the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. They strongly condemned Israel's violence, blockade, and hunger policies in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as any actions that infringe upon Palestinian land or alter the demographic structure of Palestine.

The envoys also expressed their appreciation for China's efforts to promote a ceasefire in Gaza, provide humanitarian assistance, and support the "two-state solution." They looked forward to China continuing its just position on the Palestinian issue and playing a more constructive role in helping the Palestinian people determine their future, ultimately achieving independence and establishing a Palestinian state.
