In preparation for the commencement of the 2025 Chengdu World Games, which kick off on Thursday night, the host city is offering a cultural tour designed to engage international athletes and others connected to the event. This initiative encourages participants to explore beyond the confines of the Games Village and experience what makes the city unique.
The cultural tour includes seven distinct routes, allowing visitors to discover 17 key landmarks. These include the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the historic Dujiangyan Irrigation System, and the picturesque Mount Qingcheng, all of which reinforce Chengdu's image as a city rich in parks and natural beauty.
Recently, over 100 athletes visited the research base, where they had the opportunity to observe the giant pandas, a symbol of China's natural heritage, up close. In addition, the array of souvenirs and cultural items inspired by these iconic animals captivated many of the attendees.
The tour is scheduled to continue until August 18, the day following the end of the World Games, providing ample opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in the local culture.

Let me know if there are any issues with people shoving to get the best panda pictures. I'll stay away.
