Mid-August is predicted to bring warm temperatures to much of England. The majority of the country, excluding a few counties, is expected to experience temperatures in the mid to high 20s Celsius by the evening of August 15th. Some areas could even reach 30C.
However, a handful of English counties, including parts of Norfolk, Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Durham, and Northumberland, are expected to have slightly cooler temperatures, ranging from 17 to 18 degrees Celsius. The southwestern tip of Cornwall and the eastern tip of Kent are also predicted to be cooler, with temperatures between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius. Somerset is forecast to experience the highest temperatures, potentially reaching 30C. Major cities like Manchester, Stoke, Birmingham, Worcester, Luton, and Southampton are expected to see temperatures in the mid to high 20s.
Wales is anticipated to have temperatures ranging from around 18 to the mid-20s Celsius. Scotland is expected to experience temperatures between 19 and 22 degrees Celsius in the southern half of the country, including Glasgow and Edinburgh. Further north, temperatures could be slightly cooler, ranging from the mid-teens up to 18 or 19 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 13C in Kirkwall. Northern Ireland is predicted to have temperatures in the high teens, potentially reaching 20 degrees Celsius in many areas.
The Met Office's long-range forecast suggests that the beginning of this period may bring strong winds and rain to the north of the UK. Following this, there is a possibility of very warm and humid weather, particularly in the south and east. Mid-August is expected to be dominated by high pressure, bringing dry weather to most areas. Northern areas may experience more changeable conditions with occasional rain or showers. Above-average temperatures are likely, especially in the south, where it could also be humid.

This is awful news for hay fever sufferers. I'll be spending the whole day indoors.

I’m in one of the 'cooler' counties. Sounds like I'll be stuck in a damp grey haze while everyone else is sunbathing. Great." (Saracastic)
