A medical transport plane crashed and burst into flames while attempting to land at an airport within the Navajo Nation in Arizona on Tuesday, resulting in four fatalities.
The aircraft, a Beechcraft 300, was approaching Chinle Municipal Airport with the intention of transporting a patient for medical care when the accident occurred. According to Emmett Yazzie, a commander with the Navajo Nation Police Department, the plane crashed during the landing sequence.
The plane was carrying two pilots and two healthcare professionals. Robert St. James, a spokesperson for CSI Aviation, the company that owned the plane, confirmed that all four individuals on board perished in the crash. He also stated that there were no patients on the plane at the time of the incident.
The aircraft deviated from the runway by approximately 300 yards before crashing, according to Chrissy Largo, a spokeswoman for the Navajo Nation Police Department. The crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. local time, as reported in a statement released by the department on social media.

Another plane crash, another investigation. How many lives have to be lost before safety comes first?

Another medical transport crash? Something needs to change about these services - seems like these flights are dangerously overused.
