IndiGo Airlines announced the opening of bookings for increased flight frequencies on its long-haul routes connecting Mumbai with Amsterdam and Manchester. The airline plans to expand its services on these routes starting in September 2025.
Beginning September 20, 2025, IndiGo will operate long-haul flights six times per week between Mumbai and Amsterdam. Daily service on this route is scheduled to commence on October 13, 2025. The connectivity between Mumbai and Manchester will also be enhanced, with flights operating four times a week starting September 22, 2025.
IndiGo commenced operations to Manchester and Amsterdam on July 1 and 2, respectively. These flights utilize the airline's first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which is on a damp-lease agreement from Norse Atlantic Airways.
The airline anticipates receiving five additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft during the current financial year. The first of these is expected to arrive by mid-September, which will allow IndiGo to further strengthen its service on these routes.
In a recent development, IndiGo signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). This partnership aims to promote Singapore as a key destination for Indian travelers and increase bookings through IndiGo's network. This marks STB's first MoU with an Indian airline and IndiGo's first with a national tourism board.
Additionally, the Union Civil Aviation Minister recently launched new flight routes from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, which will be operated by IndiGo. IndiGo is now the second airline, following Air India Express, to operate from Hindon Airport.

I hope this doesn't mean higher fares for international routes. IndiGo is already on the expensive side for budget airlines!

Boeing Dreamliners will only impress until there’s a problem. I'd rather they focus on solid operational foundations first.
