IndiGo Airlines, based in India, has embarked on a significant partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) by entering into a one-year-long Memorandum of Understanding. This collaboration is notable as it marks STB's inaugural agreement with an Indian airline and highlights IndiGo’s first partnership with a national tourism board.
In the first half of 2025, India notably registered over 500,000 visitors to Singapore, a trend bolstered by strong air travel connections. IndiGo operates more than 270 weekly flights connecting Singapore with 15 Indian cities via Changi Airport, which is recognized as the most connected airport in Southeast Asia. This extensive network grants Indian travelers easy access to Singapore. Melissa Ow, the Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board, remarked on the importance of the partnership and the launch of the 'Untold Singapore' campaign, aiming to tap into the vibrant Indian travel market, especially as the two nations commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations in 2025.
The campaign is designed to cater to new and returning visitors by highlighting both well-known and off-the-beaten-path attractions in Singapore. Pieter Elbers, the CEO of IndiGo, emphasized the strong cultural and commercial connections between India and Singapore, indicating that there is substantial demand for travel between these nations. With a focus on enhancing customer experience, IndiGo has also introduced the IndiGoStretch business class offering, which aims to provide a premium travel experience for passengers heading to the enticing destination of Singapore.

This is great news! More flights = more choices = potentially lower fares for travel between India and Singapore.

Focusing on 'untold' attractions... are they just trying to ignore the expensive reality of Singapore?

Changi Airport is great, but let's be realistic about the connection times. Sometimes they're LONG!
