Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, was recently seen jogging at a minimum-security prison in Texas. This facility is also currently housing Ghislaine Maxwell, following her recent transfer.
Holmes, now 41, is serving an 11-year sentence for defrauding investors in Theranos, the blood-testing company she established in 2003. The company's operations ended in 2018. She was sentenced in 2022 after being found guilty of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Holmes was photographed on Saturday in the recreation yard of Federal Prison Camp Bryan, wearing a gray shirt, shorts, compression gloves, and a hat.
The prison in Bryan, Texas, is the same location where Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, is now held. Maxwell, 63, was transferred on Friday from Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee in Florida. The reason for her move is currently unknown.
Prior to the transfer, Maxwell and her lawyer met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Maxwell's attorney has been seeking a pardon or sentence commutation from President Donald Trump. Maxwell has also offered to testify to a congressional committee about Epstein in exchange for immunity. Maxwell is eligible for release in 2037, having been convicted in 2021 on sex trafficking charges related to her role in assisting Epstein's abuse of underage girls.

The detail about the recreation yard is a good depiction of current conditions.

It’s infuriating to see them enjoying what's essentially a vacation compared to the damage they caused.

Holmes' sentencing details are still important reminders about the Theranos case.

News like this keeps the Theranos story alive. A good reminder of corporate greed.

This just highlights how lenient our justice system is for white-collar criminals.
