The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews mobilized in July to aid persecuted Syrian Druze and Christians facing attacks in southern Syria. Syrian-backed forces, including jihadists, killed at least 1,400 people.
Yael Eckstein, of the Fellowship, stated they responded to urgent requests for medical aid from Sweida. The organization coordinated with the Israel Defense Forces to deliver supplies, including ambulances.
Christians were also targeted. Israel launched strikes to stop the violence. Eckstein noted villages were damaged. The Fellowship first provided aid in April.
Safwan Marich of the Israeli Druze community described a genocide in Sweida, with kidnappings and religious persecution. He emphasized the Druze tradition of helping each other and the need to defend their community.

This aid likely helps only those who align with political agendas.

The Druze community deserves all the support they can get. Heartbreaking story.
