Chilean authorities have transferred $125,000 worth of watches, stolen from Keanu Reeves, to the FBI. The FBI will then return the six watches to the actor. These include a Rolex valued at no less than $9,500.
The timepieces were recovered during police raids conducted months ago. They were originally stolen from Reeves' home in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles in December 2023. The theft occurred during a period of high-profile break-ins.
Reeves confirmed the recovered watches as his own, according to Chilean prosecutors. The watches were found during police raids in Santiago, Chile. Law enforcement also recovered other stolen items, such as iPhones, cars, designer purses, and other luxury watches.
The raids were connected to an investigation into South American crime groups targeting luxury homes in the United States. This included the home of football player Travis Kelce. In April, Chilean police announced the arrest of 23 individuals linked to the burglaries.
Whether there is a connection between Reeves' watches and the other burglaries is still under investigation. The announcement of the watch handover coincided with a visit by the Department of Homeland Security Secretary to Chile for discussions on transnational crime.

When it happens to celebrities, it gets attention, but at least it helps raise awareness of crime!

The fact that this is a headline just shows how out of touch the media is—who cares about some watches?
