In the early hours of Friday, July 25, a devastating bus crash in central Vietnam led to the deaths of ten individuals, which included two young children. The sleeper bus was on its route from Hanoi to Da Nang when it lost control, collided with roadside markers, and ultimately rolled over, as stated by government officials. All those who lost their lives were Vietnamese citizens, and among them were five domestic tourists traveling to Da Nang for a vacation.
In addition to the fatalities, twelve other passengers were injured and required medical attention at a nearby hospital. A passenger recounted the harrowing experience, describing how the bus overturned and left them unable to move due to the forceful impact against the side of the bunk. They noted that several victims were located in the front bunks and experienced severe injuries as a result of the crash.
Following the incident, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has initiated a call for an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. This tragic event comes closely on the heels of another calamity in which a tourist boat capsized in the popular Ha Long Bay, resulting in 38 fatalities among passengers and crew, with rescuers still searching for a missing individual.

Just terrible. The lack of proper safety measures seem to be common in this country.
