Bill Clinton is among the individuals who sent a birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The former president's letter was included in an album compiled by Epstein's former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, for his 50th birthday in 2003. The album contained nearly 50 other letters from various prominent figures.
The Wall Street Journal's article provided additional details about the album, listing some of the individuals who wrote to Epstein. These included billionaire investor Leon Black, fashion designer Vera Wang, media owner Mortimer Zuckerman, former Victoria’s Secret owner Les Wexner, attorney Alan Dershowitz, model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, and former Microsoft executive Nathan Myhrvold. The album also featured a section titled "friends," which included the British ambassador to the United States and Labour party politician Peter Mandelson. Additionally, letters were sent by Epstein's former colleagues from Bear Stearns, Alan “Ace” Greenberg and James “Jimmy” Cayne.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Clinton's note to Epstein stated, "It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.” The newspaper also noted that Trump's letter was not the only one with sexual undertones.
The album included a poem signed by Black, a note from Wexner with a drawing of breasts, and a suggestion from Wang that Epstein star on The Bachelor. Myhrvold's note promised photographs from a trip to Africa, including images of animals. Mandelson's letter included photos of whiskey and a tropical island, and he referred to Epstein as "my best pal."
Furthermore, The New York Times confirmed that Trump had previously written an admiring note to Epstein. The note, found in a copy of Trump's book, read, "To Jeff — You are the greatest!" and was signed "Donald." The Times also reviewed a previously unseen photo of Trump and Epstein with singer James Brown.

How can we trust leaders like Clinton if they associate with someone so deeply involved in such heinous activities?

It's infuriating to think these influential people might have known about Epstein's behavior and chose to ignore it.

Celebrating someone's milestones doesn't mean endorsing their actions. Context is key here.

It’s possible that many who wrote didn't realize the extent of Epstein's wrongdoings. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

It's unbelievable that people would willingly write to someone who financially and socially supported such criminal acts.
