The district government reported that the area was hit by torrential rainfall for a period of five hours, culminating at 5 a.m. The intensity of the downpour was significant, with precipitation reaching up to 364 mm.
The heavy rains led to a sudden and powerful flash flood near two villages within the Dawangzhuang township. The floodwaters caused extensive damage, including the destruction of 19 houses. Tragically, the disaster claimed the lives of two individuals, and ten others remain unaccounted for.
Local authorities have mobilized all available resources and are actively engaged in search and rescue operations to locate the missing individuals.

Another tragedy in China. Where was the early warning system? Were the residents informed?

Praying for a positive update and for the missing to be found safe. Support and compassion are all we need to show each other during these days.

Another disaster on top of all other ones… how many warnings did they issue to people, and how many were able to escape the flood?
