United Airlines has restarted its service to Israel. The airline launched a direct flight from Newark Liberty Airport in the United States to Ben Gurion Airport, which is near Tel Aviv, on Tuesday.
United had previously halted its flights to Israel on June 13th. This decision was made following the outbreak of a 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran. The airline made the decision to resume flights after a thorough evaluation of the current situation.
Delta Air Lines, another U.S. carrier, is planning to restart its flights to Israel on September 1st. American Airlines has not yet resumed flights to Israel since the multi-front conflict began in October 2023, and there is no announced date for their return.
In addition to the U.S. airlines, Italian airline Neos and Bulgaria Air are also anticipated to resume their flights to Israel this month.

Business and tourism are crucial for recovery. Glad to see United leading the way!

Restoring services during a conflict is just bad PR for United.

Flying back into a war zone is not something to celebrate. This is a lack of empathy.

Many people are still affected by the conflict. How can United ignore that?

The conflict isn't resolved. This seems reckless on United's part.

Is it really wise to resume flights to such a volatile region? Safety should come first!
