Davis Alexander remained undefeated after a dramatic comeback, but the Montreal Alouettes might be without him again. He scored a game-winning touchdown, but re-injured his hamstring. Alexander, despite the injury, expressed trust in his team. He rebounded from an early interception to throw for 303 yards and a touchdown.
The Alouettes (4-2) regained first place in the East. Toronto's Nick Arbuckle threw two touchdowns in his sixth start. Alexander, now 8-0 as a starter, matched a CFL record. Without him, the Alouettes struggled.
The game turned late in the third quarter. Spieker caught a touchdown pass, and later, a long reception set up another score. Alexander then ran for the winning touchdown after an Arbuckle fumble.
Toronto's coach lamented the costly fumble. Montreal also got field goals and a single. Toronto's touchdowns were scored by Coxie, McMahon, and Ungerer III. Toronto now faces a difficult situation.
The first half was slow, but Toronto scored twice. Alexander and the Alouettes rallied in the second half for the win.

Toronto really choked that fumble. Unforgivable for a coach.

The Alouettes have to develop more reliable depth without Alexander.

303 yards? Good, but the slow start really cost them... again.
