Parents Coalition Calls for Investigation into YMCA Practices

Alleigh Marré, who leads the American Parents Coalition, has written to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene urging an investigation into the YMCA's allocation of significant federal funding, claiming that it supports unsafe policies for children. She accuses the organization of violating parental rights and disregarding federal regulations, particularly highlighting issues related to biological males using girls’ locker rooms, bathrooms, and overnight cabins in various YMCA locations across the nation.

Marré emphasizes the lack of parental notification regarding these practices, which she argues not only endangers girls but also raises doubts about the YMCA’s adherence to federal law. She criticizes the YMCA’s national policy for promoting what she describes as "radical gender ideology" over the necessary legal and ethical responsibility to protect minors. Since the YMCA receives substantial federal funding, Marré argues that it falls under Title IX requirements and must be held accountable to prevent potential harm and misuse of taxpayer resources.
