Premier Li highlighted the fruitful discussions that took place during Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's visit to China in November 2023, which resulted in a consensus on strengthening bilateral ties. Over the past two years, both nations have made notable advancements in Belt and Road cooperation, benefiting their citizens.
Looking ahead, Li mentioned that the coming year marks the 20th anniversary of the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership. He conveyed China's readiness to continue supporting Greece in its core interests and to expand practicable collaborations across various domains, including clean energy, artificial intelligence, and economic investment.
In addition, Li encouraged mutual exchanges in tourism and cultural matters to further solidify the bond between the two countries. He underscored the common interests shared by China and the European Union and advocated for a collective response to challenges like unilateralism and protectionism—aiming to uphold global trade and economic stability.
Deputy Prime Minister Hatzidakis acknowledged the significance of Greece's relationship with China and reiterated Greece's commitment to advancing their comprehensive strategic partnership.
