On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning addressed a media inquiry regarding Hsiao Bi-khim of the Taiwan region. Mao Ning stated unequivocally that Taiwan is a part of China. She also clarified that there is no "vice president" in this context.
The spokesperson's comments were in response to Hsiao Bi-khim's claims that she would not be intimidated by Beijing. Hsiao Bi-khim had alleged that she was followed and physically threatened during a visit to Prague the previous year.
Mao Ning further stated that Chinese diplomats consistently adhere to the laws and regulations of the countries where they are stationed. She emphasized that regardless of the tactics employed by the DPP authorities, including seeking "independence" through external support and attempting to create discord between China and countries with diplomatic ties, their efforts will be futile. The spokesperson asserted that their underlying intentions would be exposed and their schemes would ultimately fail.

The Truth
If Taiwan is truly part of China, why is it so afraid of dialogue and a free vote?
Answer
The DPP is provoking Beijing. The government needs to take a strong stance against separatism.

Playing the victim card blaming DPP, however, these claims are a matter of serious concern regarding diplomat's behavior.

The fact that they feel they need to constantly reiterate this claim reveals the weakness of their position. If it were so obvious, they wouldn't have to keep saying it.

Anyone supporting the idea of Taiwan independence is not just acting against China, but is seeking instability.
