Kush Maini Drives Alpine A523 at Goodwood, Representing Team and Celebrating Motorsport Milestones

Kush Maini, the BWT Alpine Formula One Team Reserve Driver, spearheaded the team's presence on the opening day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. He took to the iconic Hill Climb in the A523, the Alpine challenger from the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship, as announced by Formula One.

This appearance marked Maini's second time at Goodwood, where he represented Alpine and helped launch the team's 70th-anniversary celebrations. Driving the A523, he led a display of Alpine vehicles up the hill, including the classic A110 Berlinette, the A110 R, the A290, the new A390, and the Alpenglow concept hypercar.

As a reserve driver and currently competing in FIA Formula 2, Maini was Alpine's only representative in the Formula 1 demonstration on Thursday. The festival also commemorated 75 years of the sport.

The A523, driven by Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, secured fifth place in the 2023 FIA Formula One Constructors' World Championship. The car achieved two podium finishes in the Monaco and Dutch Grands Prix, along with a third-place finish in the Belgian Grand Prix Sprint Race. The 2023 car featured the team's 2025 livery, showcasing its distinctive blue and pink racing colors.

Due to his commitment with Mahindra Racing's Formula E team at the Berlin Rookie Test, Maini's participation in the Festival of Speed was brief. Despite this, he represented India at the event, continuing to promote the country's motorsport presence on a global scale.

Kush Maini shared his experience, expressing his enjoyment of returning to Goodwood and celebrating the milestones of Formula One and Alpine. He highlighted the thrill of driving the A523 on the Hill Climb and the event's appeal to fans.
