Chantalle Ng has garnered attention for her self-awareness. The 30-year-old Mediacorp actress co-hosted the Star Awards with Guo Liang last Sunday. Her performance was praised for its poise and expressiveness, especially considering her lack of prior hosting experience.

An amusing moment occurred during the show when Ng experienced a brief lapse. She and Liang were tasked with introducing the presenters for the Best Drama Serial award. Liang began the introduction, and it was expected that Ng would complete the sentence by naming the presenters.

However, Ng momentarily blanked, failing to speak. Fortunately, Liang quickly intervened and finished the introduction. Ng later shared the incident on social media, humorously pointing out her mistake.

Despite the minor hiccup, many believe Ng's performance was commendable. Singaporean voice actor Zhang Miaoyang, a vocal coach and chairman of the Hong Kong Language Arts Association, publicly praised Ng's hosting skills. He highlighted her Mandarin pronunciation, fluency, elegance, and grace, suggesting she is a rising star in both radio and hosting.
