China to Showcase Military Aircraft at Paris Air Show

The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), a state-owned entity, is preparing to showcase scale models of its military aircraft at the upcoming Paris Air Show. The event is scheduled to take place in Paris, France, from June 16 to 22, 2025.

China will be exhibiting some of its most advanced aviation products. These include the J-20, J-35A, and J-10CE fighter jets. According to a Chinese expert, these warplanes are anticipated to garner significant international attention. This is especially true given the recent combat successes of the J-10CE, which is designed for export.

AVIC will present a comprehensive display of its achievements in both military and civilian aviation equipment. This display will be led by the "20" series warplanes and supported by a range of military and emergency rescue aviation equipment designed for export. The company announced its plans in a statement released on its official WeChat account.

The military aircraft on display will include scale models of the J-20 stealth fighter, the J-35A stealth fighter, the J-10CE fighter, the Y-20 large transport aircraft, the Z-20 utility helicopter, and the Z-10ME attack helicopter. Other notable items will be the GJ-11 armed reconnaissance stealth drone, the Wing Loong-2 armed reconnaissance drone, and the AG600M large amphibious firefighting aircraft. These products aim to demonstrate capabilities in air superiority, long-range delivery, and land-air coordination, highlighting China's advancements in developing a comprehensive military aircraft system.

An expert from Aerospace Knowledge magazine noted that China is expected to be a global highlight at the Paris Air Show, particularly due to the performance of the export-oriented J-10CE fighter jet. He stated that Chinese products are evolving from lower-end to higher-end, and from theoretical concepts to proven combat capabilities. He believes that all Chinese exhibits will be attractive at the show.

The J-10CE, having demonstrated its capabilities in combat, is expected to be attractive to potential buyers. The J-35A is another strong export candidate, especially given the global trend of increasing fifth-generation fighters. Considering its performance and cost-effectiveness, the J-35A is expected to be highly competitive in the global market.

The chief designer of multiple aircraft types, also a chief expert at the Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute of AVIC, stated that the J-35 fighter series, developed with an "air-sea twin configuration" approach and a "one aircraft, multiple variants" concept, is expected to be produced in large numbers in the future. The designer emphasized the superior combat capabilities of the J-35 series, highlighting its enhanced stealth performance and exceptional capabilities for coordinated operations.
