The Iranian government has announced a revised death toll from its conflict with Israel, reporting that at least 1,060 individuals have perished. Authorities have also cautioned that this number could potentially increase.
Saeed Ohadi, who leads Iran's Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, shared this information during a televised interview on Iranian state television late Monday. He further indicated that the death toll might climb to 1,100 due to the severity of injuries sustained by some individuals.
Throughout the period of conflict, Iran had initially minimized the impact of Israel's military actions, which included a 12-day bombardment. This bombardment significantly damaged Iran's air defenses, destroyed military installations, and caused damage to its nuclear facilities. Following the implementation of a ceasefire, Iran has gradually begun to acknowledge the extent of the destruction, although it has not yet disclosed the extent of its military equipment losses.
The Human Rights Activists group, based in Washington, has been providing detailed casualty figures related to various instances of unrest within Iran. According to their data, 1,190 people were killed, including 436 civilians and 435 members of the security forces. The group also reported that an additional 4,475 individuals were wounded in the attacks.

Bombardment of their air defenses and nuclear facilities? Good. Maybe they'll think twice about threatening the world.

The Iranian government cares more about power than its people. This is just performance.

1,060? That's it? They're clearly downplaying the real numbers to save face.
