Recent video evidence suggests that agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) engaged in inappropriate behavior by urinating on the property of a public school in Los Angeles. This disturbing incident occurred on June 17 near the playground of Ruben Salazar High School in Pico Rivera, raising significant concerns among district officials regarding the potential exposure of minors to such conduct.
Members of the El Rancho Unified School District Board expressed their outrage by addressing a letter to the Department of Homeland Security, highlighting their belief that the actions of the ICE agents were reckless and irresponsible. They pointed out that the agents failed to respect the presence of students and trespassed unlawfully on school property, without presenting any legal justification for their presence.
According to the school board's letter, video surveillance captured around ten ICE agents engaging in the act of urination near storage containers situated in the school's parking lot. The school administration argued that the environment clearly indicated the location was a school, where students are present, and noted the serious implications of the agents' behavior under California law.
Furthermore, the school district has requested detailed information about the agents involved, including their names and badge numbers, in an effort to hold accountable those who breached protocols. Although the DHS has recognized the concerns and stated that the incident is under investigation, they did not elaborate further on the matter. The incident has exacerbated tensions in an area already fraught with opposition to ICE and the Trump administration's stringent immigration policies, particularly given the recent surges in anti-ICE protests in Southern California.

We need to support our law enforcement officers, even if they may have made a mistake. We should be grateful for their service.

This is absolutely disgusting! These ICE agents have no respect for children or the law.

Let's see the video before making judgements. We don't have enough information.

The level of unprofessionalism is mind-boggling. This is not how law enforcement should behave.
