An 18-year-old in Florida is in custody following a series of threatening phone calls to a local McDonald's. The threats were made after the restaurant allegedly failed to include chicken McNuggets with his meal. Authorities stated that the individual, Dayton Schaffer, called the establishment multiple times, issuing warnings that he would "shoot this st up."
The incident began when the manager of a McDonald's in north Lakewood reported the threats to the police. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Schaffer made the threatening calls around 11:30 p.m.
Sheriff Grady Judd shared details of the arrest in a video posted on the department's social media. In the video, Judd used puns to describe the situation. He explained that after the initial call, the manager apologized and offered to correct the order if Schaffer returned. However, the threats continued.
Detectives were able to trace the calls to Schaffer, who admitted to making them due to the incorrect order. The sheriff's office also reported that Schaffer claimed the threats were intended as a joke.
Schaffer is now facing charges. He is charged with a false report concerning the use of a firearm against a person(s) and misuse of a two-way communication device.

McNugget rage is a real thing! (But seriously, don't do that)

I'd be upset too! But maybe threatening violence wasn't the best solution.

I feel bad for the guy, but he totally messed up. A McNugget crisis is a crisis.

This is the funniest thing I've seen all week! (In a darkly humorous way, of course)

Hopefully, this is his wake-up call. Maybe he will learn his lesson.
