Prince William has severed ties with a charity donor following allegations of her attempting to sell access to him. Minerva Mondejar Steiner, a millionaire with an art gallery, was a sponsor of William's annual polo event. It was discovered that she allegedly offered private meetings with the Prince in exchange for money, a practice William was reportedly unaware of.
According to a "strictly private" email, Mondejar Steiner invited wealthy individuals associated with a luxury concierge service to the polo match. She allegedly offered attendance at the event or a meeting with William in return for donations to her philanthropic foundation. The email outlined contribution levels, including a £20,000 option that promised full access and a private audience with Prince William and Princess Catherine. Recipients of the email were instructed not to share the invitation publicly.
Furthermore, documents revealed that Mondejar Steiner's team offered potential advertisers the chance to meet William. For £50,000, advertisers could secure a double-page editorial spread in a magazine distributed at the event, along with two VIP tickets granting access to the royals. A Kensington Palace source stated that William did not approve of this conduct.
The Palace confirmed it was unaware that Mondejar Steiner was using the event to raise funds for her own causes or promising access to William for payment. The Palace was only familiar with her art gallery and not her foundation. Mondejar Steiner is no longer permitted to sponsor the event, which operates on an invitation-only basis. The Royal Charity Polo Cup match is an annual event where millionaire donors gather to watch Prince William play polo and contribute to causes supported by the future King.

This could have serious implications for the royal family's image. Prince William needs to distance himself further from such figures.

This is just another example of how the rich exploit connections. Disgusting behavior by Mondejar Steiner!
