Israeli strikes killed at least 72 people in Gaza overnight and into Saturday, with ceasefire prospects improving after 21 months of war. A strike on a tent camp near Khan Younis killed three children and their parents. Other strikes resulted in numerous deaths near the Palestine Stadium and in apartments.
Hopes for a ceasefire agreement are growing. U.S. President Trump suggests a deal is near, and Israeli Minister Ron Dermer will be in Washington for talks. Indirect talks between Israel and Hamas have been inconsistent. The war has killed over 56,000 Palestinians.
Families of hostages hope for a deal. Hamas is ready to release hostages for an end to the war, but Netanyahu wants Hamas disarmed and exiled.
Meanwhile, Palestinians face a dire humanitarian crisis. Over 500 have died seeking food. Witnesses report Israeli troops firing at crowds. Thousands walk for hours to reach aid sites, while UN efforts are disrupted by gangs and desperate people.

This is not a conflict; it's a slaughter. The international community needs to intervene.

Hostages don’t justify massacres. No one deserves to be targeted like this for any reason.

I firmly believe in the power of hope and diplomacy; we have to work towards a future without war.

How can anyone support killing civilians and children? This violence is inexcusable!

If Trump's involvement can help bring peace, it's worth supporting every effort toward that end.
