Todd Chrisley initially disbelieved the news when informed by a fellow inmate, only to have it confirmed by a corrections officer. He expressed his elation at the news.

The Chrisleys emphasized their gratitude to both God and Trump for reuniting them with their family. Their show depicted them as successful, religious figures. However, federal prosecutors alleged they were involved in fraudulent activities, using the proceeds to fund their extravagant lifestyle.

The Chrisleys were indicted during Trump's presidency. They formally requested a pardon from Trump, and according to their attorney, they did not seek one from President Biden, citing their belief of being targeted by the Justice Department. Their attorney also hinted at a potential return to public life.
