Mikayla Raines, who gained fame and millions of followers for her dedication to rescuing foxes and various animals, tragically passed away on June 20 at her home in Faribault, Minnesota. She was only 30 years old. Her husband, Ethan Frankcamp, revealed that the cause of her death was suicide, attributing it to struggles with mental health issues and the bullying she experienced on social media platforms.
Raines was deeply influenced by her mother, who worked in wildlife rehabilitation, and this passion led her to establish Save a Fox Rescue in 2017. This nonprofit sanctuary focused on the rescue of foxes that were born in captivity. Through her tireless efforts, Raines not only rehabilitated these animals but also successfully placed many into loving adoptive homes. The animals she rescued often came from fur farms, where they were kept in cramped conditions, deprived of the ability to move freely or even sit comfortably. Her impactful work resonated with many, earning her a commendable following of 2.4 million on YouTube.

She had a huge following; she could have turned that into a positive message instead of giving up.
