Brian Johnson, the fitness influencer known as "Liver King," was arrested in Texas. The arrest occurred after he traveled to Austin, the hometown of podcaster Joe Rogan, with the intention of challenging him to a fight.
Johnson, 47, faces a misdemeanor charge of making a terroristic threat. He was booked into the Travis County Jail in Austin on Tuesday night. He had gained a large following, over six million, by promoting an "ancestral lifestyle" that involved consuming vast quantities of raw meat.
Footage shared on Johnson's social media showed him challenging Rogan, a UFC commentator, to a fight. In the video, Johnson stated he was picking a fight with Rogan and would come to him whenever he was ready. Other videos captured the moments leading up to his arrest, showing him wearing a sweatsuit and tactical vest while discussing going to prison and fighting Rogan.
Austin police were notified about Johnson's threats against Joe Rogan on his Instagram profile. Detectives reviewed the posts and observed Johnson traveling to Austin while continuing to make threatening statements. Rogan stated he had never interacted with Johnson and considered the posts threatening. Based on this, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson. He was taken into custody without incident and held on a $20,000 bond.
Rogan had previously criticized Johnson for claiming his physique was achieved through an "ancestral" diet, as Johnson had denied using steroids until 2022. Leaked emails revealed he had spent a significant amount monthly on steroids. Johnson also faced a lawsuit from customers accusing him of fraud, which was later dropped. He was also the subject of a Netflix documentary.

I get it, he pushed Rogan's buttons. But a charge? That's aggressive.

His entire career is based on being a fake and fraud; it's not surprising he's got actual problems.

He's entertaining, you can't deny that. It's a shame they're taking it so seriously.

This is probably some kind of media spectacle, let's wait and see what really happens.

Wow. What a pathetic display of aggression. He thinks he's invincible due to his online persona.
