On Wednesday morning, an American Airlines flight, designated as Flight 1665, experienced a serious incident shortly after takeoff from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. The aircraft, which was bound for Charlotte, North Carolina, took off around 8:11 a.m. local time when passengers and crew noticed flames and smoke rising from the left engine.
Following the alarming midair situation, the plane returned to the airport at approximately 8:20 a.m., where it landed safely. Fortunately, there were no injuries among the 153 passengers and six crew members onboard. A maintenance team conducted an inspection and reported no signs of an actual engine fire. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, has since been grounded for further evaluation, while American Airlines expressed gratitude for the crew's professionalism during the incident. The Federal Aviation Administration is set to conduct an investigation into the occurrence.

Instead of gratitude for the crew, I want to see accountability and transparency from American Airlines!

American Airlines needs to be held accountable. These kinds of incidents make me question their safety standards.

This story raises a lot of red flags. Can we trust air travel with incidents like this happening?

What’s the point of flying if it’s not safe? This makes me think twice about booking with them.
