Trump expressed his disdain for cable news networks, asserting that their reporting is filled with "fake news." He took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to name several journalists and executives, accusing them of bias and misinformation. He asserted, "CNN is scum, and so is MSDNC," further stating that the networks as a whole are not much different, emphasizing that their reporting was misleading.

In response to questions from reporters before heading to the NATO summit, he defended "Operation Midnight Hammer," which involved U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Trump claimed it was a significant success, alleging that it had completely destroyed Iran's nuclear capabilities.
