M62 Shut Down Near Rishworth Moor Following Serious Collision Involving Truck and Car

A major traffic incident has caused significant disruption on the M62 motorway. A photograph capturing the aftermath reveals the severity of the situation. The image, taken along the trans-Pennine route, depicts a truck that has collided with the central barrier, which divides the east and westbound lanes. Further footage and pictures from the scene show a car trapped beneath the truck.

Authorities have confirmed that, thankfully, the collision has not resulted in any injuries. The incident occurred near Junction 22, close to Rishworth Moor. Emergency services are currently on the scene, managing the situation.

As a result of the crash, the westbound carriageway of the motorway has been completely closed. Additionally, one lane on the eastbound side has also been shut down to facilitate the ongoing response.
