International Condemnation Follows Israeli Strikes on Iran

Following an Israeli attack on Iran's capital, Tehran, on Friday, June 13, 2025, firefighters and civilians were seen cleaning up the scene of an explosion within a residential compound. The strikes, confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), targeted numerous military sites, including nuclear facilities.

The attacks resulted in casualties and significant damage, prompting international concern. Reports from Iran's official news agency, IRNA, indicated the reported assassination of key Iranian military figures, including the Chief Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and the commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters. Additionally, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported the deaths of at least six nuclear scientists.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the operation's objective was to dismantle Iran's nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile factories, and military capabilities, with the operation planned to continue as needed. The UN Secretary-General condemned the military escalation, urging both sides to exercise restraint to prevent further conflict.

Many Middle Eastern countries expressed concern and condemned Israel's actions. Oman, which has been involved in nuclear talks between the US and Iran, described the attacks as a dangerous escalation violating international law. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates also condemned the strikes, with Jordan calling it a violation of sovereignty.

China expressed deep concern and urged de-escalation, opposing any violation of Iran's sovereignty and actions that escalate tensions. Russia also voiced concern and condemned the escalation. The UK Prime Minister urged both sides to reduce tensions, while Australia expressed alarm and called for dialogue.

The US Secretary of State denied any US involvement in the attack, stating that Israel had informed Washington of its belief that the strikes were necessary for self-defense. Earlier, the US President had warned of a possible "massive conflict" in the Middle East. Both the Chinese Embassies in Israel and Iran issued warnings to their citizens, advising them to take security precautions.

Imagine the suffering of the civilians caught in the crossfire. Every innocent life lost is a tragedy.

The US claiming no involvement is unbelievable. They’ve been enabling this for decades.

Iran has been sponsoring terrorism for years. This will send a strong message.

The hypocrisy is staggering. Condemnation from nations that have supported similar actions is nauseating.

The world needs to unite and demand an immediate ceasefire and a return to diplomacy.
