Asia-Pacific Nations Call for De-escalation Amidst U.S.-Iran Tensions

Several Asia-Pacific nations have voiced their desire for a political resolution to the ongoing tensions stemming from attacks against Iran by the United States and Israel. Some countries have also expressed condemnation or concern regarding the U.S. attacks on Iran's atomic energy facilities.

A strong condemnation of the U.S. actions was voiced by the head of the Pakistani parliament's defense committee, who labeled the attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities as a war crime. Iraq's government spokesperson also expressed deep concern and strongly condemned the targeting of nuclear facilities, highlighting the threat to Middle Eastern security and regional stability.

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry condemned the violation of Iran's sovereignty and emphasized the need for restraint and de-escalation. The kingdom also urged the international community to intensify efforts to find a political solution to the crisis. Oman, which has been involved in mediating nuclear talks, strongly condemned the U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

Qatar warned of the potential for catastrophic consequences at both regional and international levels due to the current escalation. Lebanon's President expressed concerns about the potential for escalating tensions and called for negotiations to restore stability. The Palestinian Resistance committees condemned the attacks as aggression, urging a united response.

Japan and the Republic of Korea are reportedly holding meetings to discuss the situation. New Zealand's Foreign Minister described the crisis as extremely serious, emphasizing the need to avoid further escalation and advocating for diplomacy. Australia, while calling for de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy, also noted the U.S. President's statement that the time for peace had come.

Absolutely agree! A political resolution is the only way to prevent more violence in the region. Diplomacy is key!

This supposed concern for Iran's sovereignty is misguided—let’s not forget who the real aggressor is!

These nations are just trying to deflect attention from Iran’s aggression and its role in regional instability.
