Trump Claims Successful Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Facilities

President Donald Trump has declared that the United States launched six of its significant 30,000-pound bunker buster bombs on an Iranian nuclear facility situated deep underground. According to Trump, the key nuclear sites in Iran were "completely and fully obliterated" during overnight strikes, marking the potential first combat use of the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bomb, recognized for its ability to penetrate substantial rock and soil before detonation.

The Fordow nuclear fuel enrichment plant, constructed within a mountain and shielded by 260 to 300 feet of material, is considered a strategic target that only the American weaponry can effectively reach. Trump communicated with Fox News host Sean Hannity about the strikes, confirming the destruction of Fordow and suggesting the site was "gone." Additionally, he indicated that two other Iranian nuclear facilities were also targeted and "wiped out" using 40 Tomahawk missiles launched from submarines.

In his remarks, Trump emphasized the success of the attacks on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, asserting that a complete bomb payload was utilized. He further warned during a White House speech that the U.S. would not hesitate to conduct further strikes in Iran if peace does not materialize promptly. In response, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, labeled the U.S. actions as outrageous, vowing that Iran "reserves all options" for retaliation, thereby underscoring the deepening conflict.
