Iran Retaliates with Missile Strikes After U.S.-Israeli Attacks on Nuclear Sites

On Sunday morning, Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Israel, resulting in injuries to at least 21 people, with four sustaining serious wounds. This attack followed a week of joint U.S.-Israeli strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.

Haifa, Tel Aviv, Be'er Yaakov, and Nes Ziona. Emergency services were actively searching for individuals believed to be trapped under the debris of a collapsed building in Tel Aviv.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that Iran had launched approximately 30 missiles. Images displayed on Israeli television and social media depicted significant damage to buildings and first responders assisting injured individuals.

The IDF also stated that alert sirens did not sound in Haifa during the missile impact, and an investigation was underway to determine if there was an issue with the missile defense systems. The IDF clarified that there was no malfunction in the alert system, and a prior warning had been issued.

Since the commencement of Israel's "Operation Rising Lion" against Iran, Iran has reportedly fired over 450 missiles and 400 drones at Israel. Twenty-four people in Israel have died during the initial retaliatory attacks.

As of Friday, the Human Rights Activists in Iran reported that 722 people had been killed in Iran due to Israeli strikes, which had impacted 25 of the country's 31 provinces.
