KOD World Street Dance Championship Returns to Beijing in 2025

The 2025 KOD World Street Dance Championship is set to return to Beijing next month. The event promises to captivate audiences with impressive dance moves and energetic music, showcasing athletic talent and pop culture.

The 2025 KOD (Keep On Dancing) competition is scheduled from July 17-20 at the Diamond Court of Beijing's National Tennis Center. This marks a return to the same venue, following its successful debut there last year.

Established in 2004, KOD has become a prominent street dancing tournament globally, alongside other major competitions. This year's event will feature core street-dancing styles, including popping, hip-hop, waacking, and locking, as well as choreography. The "KOD Cup," an international event featuring national teams, will also be making a comeback after a six-year break.

The president of Beijing Media Corporation Ltd, the organizing company, anticipates the tournament's return will boost the city's sports and culture sector. The event aims to introduce high-quality sports and cultural content and expand the marketing of cultural and sports businesses. The 2025 Championship has undergone a brand upgrade and aims for significant commercial expansion, positioning itself as a globally influential youth cultural icon.

The 2025 Grand Finals will feature a panel of over 40 international judges, reflecting its world-class standards. The return of the "KOD Cup" will provide more international competition. The Diamond Court venue enhances both audience immersion and the dancer experience.

Registration for the event is currently open worldwide. International qualifying events have already taken place in cities such as Seoul, New York, and Toronto. Domestic qualifiers are being held in several Chinese cities.
