Severe downpours have led to significant infrastructure damage in Longshan county, Hunan province. Roads have collapsed, and bridges and culverts have been affected. Urban flooding has also inundated several residential areas.
The Longshan county emergency management bureau reported that four residents went missing in the underground garage of the Longling International residential community. Following extensive search and rescue operations, one individual has been found and is in stable condition. Rescue efforts are continuing.
Longshan has been hit by torrential rainfall since Wednesday evening. The county initiated a Level IV flood control emergency response, which was subsequently elevated to Level III and then to Level II within a day.
Party members, officials, and residents throughout the county are actively engaged in flood prevention, disaster relief, and emergency response activities.
The Office of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters dispatched a working group to Hunan on Thursday to provide guidance on flood prevention and disaster relief measures.
