On Thursday, Prince William made a funny revelation about his education while touring the labs of Colorifix alongside Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett. The 42-year-old Prince of Wales wore a lab coat and seemed genuinely engaged as he learned about the company's innovative techniques for creating sustainable dye for textiles, which aims to eliminate the need for harmful chemicals.
While discussing the technical aspects of DNA sequencing involved in producing natural colors, William candidly remarked about his school days, saying, "Today has just made me realize I should have listened in all of my chemistry lessons." He expressed a sense of regret, reflecting, “Going back over all those old notes like, 'Damn, why didn't I pay more attention'." This visit aligns with his ongoing commitment to the environment, as Colorifix is a finalist in the Earthshot Prize—a project he launched in 2020 to foster solutions for environmental restoration.
This isn't the first time Prince William has indicated difficulties remembering his school lessons. In a 2020 documentary titled Football, Prince William and Our Mental Health, he shared with a group of football players that homeschooling during the pandemic made him acutely aware of how little he recalled from his school days, playfully admitting, “You start worrying how little you actually know from your school days when you literally can't do the maths questions at home!

I'm sure Colorifix is thrilled with the publicity, but does this actually help the company's sustainability mission, or just his image?

And he's just noticing now? Seems a bit late to the game now, doesn't it Prince William?

Love seeing him in action and genuinely interested. This will surely bring more eyes to this project.

This is not news. This is him doing his job. He's trying to look busy, not actually busy.
