Supporters of former President Donald Trump have been spreading claims on social media, alleging that a company called Crowds on Demand is providing paid protesters for anti-ICE demonstrations in Los Angeles and the nationwide "No Kings" marches. These claims aim to suggest that the numbers of protesters are inflated by hired individuals.
However, Adam Swart, the CEO of Crowds on Demand, has been actively addressing these accusations. He has been appearing on media outlets aligned with the "Make America Great Again" movement to counter the false narrative surrounding the "paid protest industry."
Right-wing social media users have asserted, without providing any evidence, that the participation in protests against ICE and President Trump is routinely boosted by hired operatives from Swart's company. Some users have made confident claims about Crowds on Demand's involvement, while others have jokingly attributed the success of the "No Kings" turnout to the company's services.
The official website for Crowds on Demand, established in October 2012, describes its services as organizing "impactful advocacy campaigns, demonstrations, PR stunts, crowds for hire and corporate events." The company specializes in organizing demonstrations, rallies, flash mobs, corporate PR events, and other events.
To combat the misinformation, Swart has appeared on various media platforms, including One America News Network (OANN), to deny any involvement. He stated that Crowds on Demand does not participate in illegal activities and has not sent any activists-for-hire to Los Angeles. He also expressed his disapproval of the demonstrators' actions, describing them as resembling "guerrilla warfare."
Swart has also appeared on podcasts and local radio to reiterate his position. He has found an unexpected ally in Elon Musk's artificial intelligence tool, Grok, which debunked the attacks on his company. Grok stated that the claim of paid protesters lacks credible evidence and that while paid protesting exists, it is not exclusive to any particular political leaning.

It's just a smear campaign. A lazy way to attack opponents by saying they don't protest organically.

It's possible that they are being targeted because of their affiliation to "Make America Great Again" movement, seems they are actually trying to help.

It's a company that organizes events, not necessarily political ones. This is a reach.

Follow the money! Who's funding these protests? I bet Crowds on Demand helped their side.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck... it's probably a paid protest!
