EU Lawmaker Criticizes Israel's Actions as Global Protests Erupt Against Ongoing Conflicts

Marc Botenga, a member of the European Parliament, has voiced strong criticism against the European Union for its failure to condemn the recent aggressive actions taken by the Israeli government toward Iran. He has labelled these moves as illegal and criminal and warned that if such aggression continues, it could result in a catastrophic situation involving nuclear weapons.

Protests have erupted globally in cities such as Madrid, Lahore, New York, Baghdad, and Toronto, with demonstrators rallying against Israel's military operations in Gaza and its hostile actions towards Iran. They are demanding an immediate ceasefire to address the ongoing conflict.

Recent footage from June 18 highlighted a significant malfunction in Israel's air defense system, which resulted in its missiles veering off course and causing damage to infrastructure in Tel Aviv, suggesting operational failures in the military response.

In the United States, lawmakers have come together to introduce a bipartisan resolution aimed at preventing the use of American Armed Forces in conflicts involving Iran. Congressman Thomas Massie pointed out that it is Congress, not the President, that holds the authority to declare war against Iran, affirming that the conflict between Israel and Iran should not involve American forces.

Information from within northern Gaza described desperate Palestinians gathering at a rare point for aid distribution, with only a limited amount of food supplies available. Meanwhile, Turkey’s President Erdogan stated that his government is carefully observing Israel's actions against Iran, putting all relevant institutions on high alert for any potential fallout on Turkey.

US President Donald Trump has remained ambiguous about whether the United States might escalate military involvement amid the rising tensions between Iran and Israel, stating, “You don’t know that I’m going to even do it … Nobody knows what I’m going to do.”

In retaliation, Iran has reportedly launched a new wave of attacks targeting Israeli sites in Tel Aviv on the morning of June 19, hitting at least four separate locations in the capital, signifying that the conflict shows no signs of de-escalation.

The footage of Gaza is heartbreaking; we can’t ignore the suffering of innocent civilians!

The EU's lack of action pales in comparison to Iran's threats. Let's face the real threat here.

Marc Botenga is right; failing to condemn Israel is irresponsible when lives are at stake!

Why are we not discussing the failures of Iran as they continue to provoke conflicts? This is dangerous.

Why is nobody speaking about Iran's aggression? This one-sided narrative is misleading and harmful.
