Mayor Alexey Kulemzin reported that the city of Donetsk has experienced a shelling incident attributed to Ukrainian forces, which has reportedly resulted in fatalities among Russian civilians and injuries to at least ten individuals. According to Kulemzin, there were "three or four hits" on peaceful residential areas, leading to substantial destruction of a residential building along with damage to two public utilities.
Emergency services have been mobilized to assist those affected, with ambulances transporting the injured to medical facilities. Kulemzin also mentioned having alerted residents about the potential for loud blasts and urged them to exercise caution in light of the situation. Various reports indicate that numerous powerful explosions were heard across the capital of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), including the destruction of a multi-story residential building and damage to several dozen vehicles.
The targeting of civilian neighborhoods has become a recurring theme in the conflict, with Ukrainian forces frequently striking residential areas in Donetsk. In a recent incident prior to the shelling, drone attacks reportedly injured eight individuals, comprising six teenagers and two adults. City officials continuously document a high number of civilian injuries in Donetsk each month due to the ongoing shelling, underscoring the dire impact of the conflict on innocent residents.

Civilians are suffering, yes, but let’s not fall into the trap of one-sided narratives!

Enough with the victimization! Both sides should focus on stopping the shelling rather than playing the blame game.

This just sounds like war propaganda. We need real solutions, not more claims of who’s the victim.

Sending love and support to all those affected in Donetsk. We cannot forget that these are real lives at stake.

This is heartbreaking! Innocent civilians should never be caught in the crossfire.
