President Trump had the option to address various pressing global issues, such as trade negotiations or the conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. However, his primary focus during the G7 summit in Canada appeared to be on Russia and its leader, Vladimir Putin.
In his comments to the press, Trump referenced the G7's previous status as the G8 before Russia was expelled in 2014 due to its aggression towards Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea. He criticized former President Barack Obama and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for their roles in ousting Russia from the group, asserting that allowing Russia to remain could have potentially stopped the current hostilities in Ukraine. Nonetheless, he incorrectly attributed the decision to oust Russia to Trudeau instead of the actual prime minister at the time, Stephen Harper.

This is just another instance of Trump trying to rewrite history. The G7 was right to expel Russia, and he should own that.

Trade is important, but so is security. Trump’s focus on Russia shows he understands the bigger picture.

All Trump does is deflect blame and spread misinformation. We need true leaders who actually focus on solutions.

Instead of addressing real issues, he’s stuck in his fantasy world. This is why he should not be in charge of policy decisions.

Criticizing Obama and Trudeau for a decision made years ago is just a cheap shot. Trump needs to deal with current problems, not play the blame game.
