In March, Elon Musk addressed a political rally in Wisconsin, standing before a large American flag. He made a striking accusation, alleging widespread fraud within the Social Security Administration. Musk claimed that scammers were responsible for 40 percent of all calls to the agency's customer service line.
Social Security employees were aware that Musk's claim was unsubstantiated. Following inquiries from journalists, staff members began preparing a response to correct the record.
However, Leland Dudek, who had recently been appointed to lead Social Security due to his cooperation with Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, received an agitated phone call from the White House. This occurred just six weeks after Dudek's promotion.
According to sources familiar with the call, Katie Miller, a senior administration aide working closely with Musk, insisted that the 40 percent figure was accurate. Miller stated that President Trump believed Musk and instructed Dudek not to contradict the president.

At least he’s bringing attention to something that often gets brushed under the rug. Go Musk!

If Musk really cares about efficiency, he should champion reforms based on facts, not wild accusations.

It’s troubling that someone with such a platform can make such baseless allegations. We need facts, not fear-mongering!

Others in power need to pay attention. Fraud is a real issue, and Musk is highlighting it.

People are quick to dismiss Musk, but he often uncovers truths that others refuse to see.
