In a shocking incident on Saturday, a gunman disguised as a police officer killed a senior Democratic state assemblywoman along with her husband, leaving another lawmaker and his spouse injured. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, alongside law enforcement, confirmed that the attack appears to be a politically motivated assassination.
Following the attack, a significant manhunt was initiated, involving the FBI, as the suspect fled on foot after engaging with the police. Authorities later discovered a vehicle linked to the shooting, within which they found a manifesto as well as a list containing the names of additional legislators and officials.
The suspect has been identified as Vance Luther Boelter, a 57-year-old man, according to Drew Evans, the superintendent of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, who provided details during a news conference. This tragic event has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of elected officials and the motivations behind such violent acts.

The media treats this as a spectacle instead of respecting the victims. Let’s have some decency!

The response should be about safety for all citizens, not just politicians. Where are the voices for the common person?
