Israel has issued a stark warning to Iran, stating that Tehran will face severe consequences if it continues its retaliatory actions. The warning came amidst escalating tensions and reciprocal attacks between the two nations.
Israeli Defence Minister Katz declared that Iranian citizens would bear a significant burden for the actions against Israel. He explicitly stated that if Iran's Supreme Leader, Khamenei, persisted in launching missiles at Israel, Tehran would be targeted.
The exchange of attacks occurred early on Saturday, following Israel's strikes on key Iranian military and nuclear sites. Iran has also cautioned the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, threatening to target their regional bases and ships if they intervene to halt Iran's strikes against Israel.
Reports from Iranian state television indicated casualties from an Israeli attack on a housing complex in Tehran, including a number of children. Iran's ambassador to the UN Security Council reported a higher death toll and numerous injuries resulting from the strikes on Iran.
In response, Iran launched a wave of retaliatory strikes targeting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. These attacks resulted in fatalities, injuries, and forced civilians to seek shelter.
