Connor Hellebuyck is adding hardware to his collection. The Winnipeg Jets goalie won the Hart Trophy as the NHL's MVP, along with his second straight and third overall Vezina Trophy as the league's top netminder. He's the first goalie to win the Hart since Carey Price.
Hellebuyck led the league with a 47-12-3 record, a .925 save percentage, and a 2.00 GAA. Leon Draisaitl finished second in Hart voting, and Nikita Kucherov was third. The Hart is voted on by writers, the Vezina by GMs. Hellebuyck received 81 first-place votes.
Hellebuyck joins a select group of goalies to win the Hart. He also secured the Vezina with 31 of 32 first-place votes.
Despite regular-season success, his playoff performance was less dominant. Kucherov led the NHL in points and assists, while Draisaitl led in goals.
