During a conversation with journalist Katie Couric on Tuesday, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass shared her thoughts on the ramifications of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in the city. She emphasized that residents would start to feel the effects when essential services, such as childcare and gardening, become unavailable due to arrests of undocumented immigrants. Bass has attributed the recent riots in Los Angeles to provocations by President Donald Trump, claiming that his immigration enforcement initiatives have incited protests that escalated into violence.
