Three teenagers have been charged with the murder of a 14-year-old boy in Manchester. The victim, described as "caring," was fatally stabbed.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Nevin Road, New Moston. Police responded to reports of a serious assault and the young victim, Ibrahima Seck, later died in the hospital.
Two 14-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy are scheduled to appear in Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. They face charges of murder and possession of a bladed article.
Additionally, a 37-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been released on bail while inquiries continue.
Ibrahima's family has issued a heartfelt tribute, remembering him as a well-liked, funny, caring, and hardworking young man. They described him as their best friend, someone who always made them laugh.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Platten stated that extensive police work has been conducted to provide answers for Ibrahima's family. The investigation will continue as the legal proceedings advance. The family remains a priority, and they will be kept informed throughout the process.
Authorities are still seeking information related to the case. They are asking for any doorbell or dashcam footage, or eyewitness accounts from anyone who was in the area at the time.
