The eagerly anticipated winning numbers for Tuesday's EuroMillions have been disclosed, as participants vie for an unprecedented jackpot estimated at £208 million, the largest in the UK's lottery history. The numbers drawn are 19, 36, 39, 40, and 45, with the Lucky Stars being 2 and 12. To claim the jackpot, ticket-holders must match all seven numbers.
The previous Friday's draw did not produce any jackpot winners, which allowed the prize to roll over into this Tuesday's event. Although the jackpot was capped at £208 million, funds that would usually enhance the jackpot were instead redirected to boost second-tier prizes, meaning more players could walk away with significant winnings for matching five main numbers plus one Lucky Star.
In the last draw, seven individuals were fortunate enough to win the second-tier prize, each earning over £2 million. Additionally, 18 players matched the five main numbers alone, with those winners projected to receive more than £17,000 each. A formal announcement regarding ticket sales and any winning tickets purchased ahead of Tuesday's draw will be made by the National Lottery.
Prior to the draw, Andy Carter, a senior adviser for winners at Allwyn, remarked on the massive potential payout, stating that such a win would create the biggest National Lottery winner in the UK's history. The winner would surpass celebrities such as Dua Lipa and Harry Kane in wealth, while also securing the top position on the National Lottery's big wins list.
The existing record was set by an anonymous ticket-holder who claimed £195 million on July 19, 2022. Just two months before, Joe and Jess Thwaite won £184,262,899 through a Lucky Dip ticket. The third-largest win was recorded last November when another anonymous player won £177 million, and this year began with an £83 million win in January.
Moreover, the National Lottery has indicated that the winning code for Tuesday's Millionaire Maker Selection raffle, part of every EuroMillions ticket, is HMXQ77424, with one lucky ticket-holder set to win a £1 million prize. Additionally, other lottery draws on Tuesday included the Thunderball, where the winning numbers drawn were 7, 15, 24, 25, and 32, with a top prize of £500,000.
