Fuentes Declares Victory as MAGA Figures Embrace Anti-Immigration Stance

Nick Fuentes, a prominent white nationalist, declared victory for his "groyper" movement after several influential figures within the MAGA sphere publicly advocated for a ban on "third world immigration" amidst protests in Los Angeles concerning Donald Trump's immigration policies.

The recent surge in deportations, spurred by pressure from Trump's advisors, led to an immigration raid at a Home Depot in a predominantly Latino neighborhood in Los Angeles. This action triggered a series of volatile protests, including demonstrations outside the city's federal detention center. The situation escalated, prompting the deployment of National Guard soldiers and Marines, despite objections from local officials.

The clashes between law enforcement and protesters, some of whom displayed Mexican flags, pushed many in the MAGA media to adopt even more hardline stances on immigration. They openly expressed their views on who should be allowed into the United States.

Matt Walsh, a podcaster, tweeted a call for a moratorium on all immigration from the third world, arguing that the country had reached its capacity. This sentiment was quickly echoed by Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, who has increasingly embraced racially charged rhetoric. Kirk called for a ban on third-world immigration, citing cultural, educational, and financial concerns.

Kirk's statement coincided with his sharing of a chart from a white nationalist organization, which discussed the declining white population of Los Angeles, framing it within the "Great Replacement Theory," a white supremacist conspiracy. He also promoted Steve Sailer, a far-right writer known for pushing "race realism." Jack Posobiec, a host, later repeated Kirk's call for a ban on third-world immigration.

These public statements by prominent conservative figures, advocating for restrictions on non-white migrants, were celebrated by openly racist elements within the American right. Researchers noted the shift in rhetoric, highlighting the lack of attempts to mask the racial and cultural chauvinism.

Fuentes, whose followers are known as "groypers," claimed that the alignment of Kirk, Walsh, and Posobiec with his views demonstrated the success of his movement. Fuentes and his supporters have previously targeted Kirk for being insufficiently "pro-white." Fuentes expressed his belief that the protests had radicalized the right wing, leading to a more explicit opposition to mass migration. He pointed out the shift in positions of figures like Kirk and Walsh, who, according to Fuentes, had previously condemned such views as racist.

It’s shocking to see so-called leaders embrace hate-filled ideologies. This isn't America.
